University of Warwick’s new neon icon, the Geometric Goose mural entitled Temporary Home, is a striking new addition to the campus.

This glowing neon artwork is quickly becoming a modern landmark, created in a bold collaboration between street artist, David Speed, and students from the University.

Unveiled following Speed’s Retreat to Create residency, Warwick’s iconic Greylag goose forms part of the university’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

The colourful installation combines art, light, and local character – and is inevitably already a hit on social media, so don’t forget your camera!

Here’s everything you need to know to make your visit to the University of Warwick as smooth and hassle-free as possible.

Getting here 

By car: The campus postcode CV4 7AL and is easily accessible via the A45, A46, M40, and M42 motorways. Simply keep an eye out for signs marked ‘University of Warwick’ or ‘Warwick Arts Centre’ as you approach Coventry.

By train: Travel into Coventry Station, which has frequent direct services from London Euston and Birmingham. From here, the National Express bus 12X runs directly to the centre of campus (the Bus Interchange, next to the Arts Centre).

Alternatively, for those travelling locally, Canley Station is the closest station to the campus. From Canley, you can take a short taxi ride, or catch the National Express bus 11 or 12X to the university interchange. Taxis are also readily available outside Coventry Station.

By bus: Regular bus services, including the 12X and 11/11U, connect the campus to Coventry city centre, Coventry Train Station, Leamington Spa, and Kenilworth, with the main campus stop being the Bus Interchange.
