Broadgate Farmyard to bring the countryside to Coventry city centre

EASTER 2023

Broadgate is set to come alive with Easter cheer as the Broadgate Farmyard event takes place on 7 and 8 April 2023.

The Broadgate Farmyard event is a family-friendly affair that is guaranteed to keep both adults and children entertained, open 10am – 4pm on both days in Broadgate, Coventry city centre.

Visitors can look forward to a wide range of free activities with the highlight being an insight into farm life. A collection of real farm animals including lambs, sheep, rabbits, chickens and ducks can be petted and watched while being fed.

There will be plenty of entertainment alongside the farm to look forward to. Farmer Giles will be around to give you some words of country wisdom, watch out for Plucky the giant – but friendly – chicken, plus farmers Frank and Dave will be on hand with their chocolate egg laying chicken.

In addition to the farm-themed activities, Broadgate Farmyard will also feature Dippy the Dinosaur egg painting and seed bomb workshops with the help of staff from the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum.

To top it off, there will be tractors on display from the Coventry Transport Museum to have your photo taken with. Visitors can take a closer look at the tractors and learn more about the machines.

The fun-filled day – brought to residents by Coventry City Council – will create the perfect Easter atmosphere. With something for everyone, Broadgate Farmyard is an event not to be missed.

Cllr Abdul Khan, Deputy Leader, Coventry City Council, said: “The Broadgate Farmyard is going to be fantastic for everyone in the city. It will be great for families with young children of all ages with the varied entertainment on offer.

“All entertainment and activities at the event are free which we hope means more families in the city have the opportunity to enjoy some festive activity during the Easter holiday. No bookings are required for the event, just turn up on either day and enjoy what’s on offer.”
