Join us for a walking tour of University of Warwick’s grounds and gardens.
Mother-makers from the region are invited to a walk on campus with Grounds Manager and mother Kelly Baker in the expansive and surprising location of University of Warwick’s campus in Coventry.
Additional Information
The tour is part of Mothers Who Make a Garden, a new artwork for Coventry Biennial 2023. Participants are invited to make while walking – illustrate, take photographs, but equally just relax and enjoy the walk.
We are very excited to be offered a tour of the Warwick campus by Head of Grounds and Gardens Kelly Baker. Kelly has a wealth of experience having worked previously at Knebworth House and RHS Wisley after having carried out her training at Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew and Birmingham Botanic Gardens.
We will be moving around campus as a group so dress warmly for the weather, wear sensible footwear and bring bottled water to keep hydrated. There are plenty of toilets, shops and cafes around campus we can point you to if you need a break or refreshments.
Open to any kind of mother, and any kind of maker – your care-giving and creative roles are treated with equal respect. Mothers Who Make events are adult focused however kids are totally welcome. Please make sure you are responsible for your own child’s safety when we are exploring campus. We will be crossing roads and may be near lakes and ponds.
Please do let us know if you have any questions and also book a place by emailing adele@coventrybiennial.com
