About

The War Memorial Park is Coventry’s premier park and attracts around 400,000 visitors from all over the city and beyond every year.

Roughly 48.5 hectares in size, the park is made up of two areas: the formal garden with the War Memorial, and the sports area with playing fields, golf course, Splash ‘n’ Play Park and play areas. There is also a 1.6 mile circular footpath around the park.

You will find historic landmarks, sculptures and themed gardens around the site, look out for the plaques for more information.

There are three food outlets in the park:

The Park Bistro (at the Tennis office) – serving breakfast, small plates, afternoon tea and supper.

Sundae Club (at the Visitor Centre) – 50s inspired diner serving crepes, waffles and ice cream.

Gelato Bar (by the skatepark) – serving a wide selection of icecreams, snacks, hot and cold drinks

There is a Visitor Centre in the main pavilion, which provides a small shop selling souvenirs and refreshments, toilets, baby change, showers and cafe. Open daily 9am – 4pm.
