Coventry’s most beloved venues are preparing to welcome residents and visitors for a Christmas to remember, with a wide range of festive activities, dining experiences and performances taking place across the city and surrounding areas this winter.

From Christmas markets and creative workshops to panto performances and festive afternoon teas, there’s something for everyone to enjoy as part of the city’s seasonal celebrations.

Pantomime, Parties, and Where to Find Santa

The Belgrade Theatre kicks off the season early with its spectacular pantomime Sleeping Beauty, running until January 3, promising plenty of festive fun, magical mayhem and Christmas sparkle for all ages. The theatre will also be hosting a stage adaptation of Well Done, Mummy Penguin! for families and younger children from 3 December to 3 January.

Coombe Abbey has an array of festive activities. They have it all, from the Festive Lunch with Santa, in their magical Garden Room Restaurant, to Festive Afternoon Tea and Carols. These both run across multiple dates available throughout December, offering an elegant seasonal experience in the historic venue’s stunning surroundings.

At St Mary’s Guildhall, families can enjoy Storytelling with Father Christmas, starting on November 29, with sessions at 10am and 1pm, while Weston Hall will host a Christmas Craft Fair on November 30 from 12–5pm. For adults looking to celebrate in style, there’s a Gatsby-Glamour Christmas Evening on 20 December, with a three-course dinner and live swing band.

Families can also experience the ultimate Christmas adventure at the Heart of England Conference & Events Centre with Santa’s Grotto & Magical Train Ride, running from 6–24 December. The enchanting experience includes a marquee departure lounge filled with games and Elf-led crafting, a woodland train ride to Santa’s Workshop, a meet-and-greet in Santa’s Grotto.

On December 2, Planet Ice presents a dazzling family show, Dick Whittington on Ice, at 7pm, featuring local skating talent in a festive performance for all ages.

Feasts, Festive Crafting, and Theatrical Delights

Festive dining and creative experiences continue throughout December, with Ansty Hall hosting a Wreath-Making Dinner on December 4, and the Manor Hotel bringing festive cheer with its Party with the Grinch on December 14.

Adding to the seasonal dining options, the Draycote Hotel will be serving its Festive Afternoon Tea throughout December, available seven days a week between 12pm and 5pm, priced from £28 per person, offering guests a relaxed, indulgent way to celebrate the season. 

From December 6 to January 4, the Albany Theatre will delight audiences with a magical production of Beauty and the Beast, while shoppers can visit Warwick Art Centre’s Seasonal Makers Market on December 9 for a day of festive creativity and local crafts. Families can also look ahead to an exciting theatrical treat as The Tiger Who Came to Tea Christmas 2025 comes to Warwick Arts Centre from November 29 to 28 December 28 2025, offering a charming adaptation of the beloved children’s story.

Orchestral Treats and New Year's Eve Glamour

Music lovers can enjoy an orchestral treat as the BBC Concert Orchestra performs Christmas at the Movies at Warwick Arts Centre on December 12 at 7.30pm, followed by Fargo Village’s Cov Sauce Christmas Disco on December 13 at 8pm, perfect for those looking to dance the night away.

The Windmill Hotel launches its Festive Menu on November 29 and will also hold a lively New Year’s Eve Party Night to see in 2026 in style.

Guests can also enjoy Christmas Dining and a Festive Menu at Hotel Indigo, providing a perfect spot for those looking to celebrate the season with great food and atmosphere.
