7pm – 11pm
The Selecter is led by their iconic frontwoman Pauline Black OBE with original drummer Charley ‘Aitch’ Bembridge. Pauline is one of very few women in the 2-Tone scene – often referred to as “The Queen of Ska”.
Known the world over for hits including “Three Minute Hero,” “Missing Words”, “Too Much Pressure” and “On My Radio”, The Selecter continue to tour and release new music proving that 2-Tone is still as relevant and important as it was 40 years ago. They released their much-acclaimed new album Human Algebra in 2023.
A 3CD Box Set & Vinyl of Too Much Pressure was released in 2021 to celebrate the album’s 40th anniversary. The Deluxe Edition reached #1 in the Official UK Vinyl Album Charts and #1 in the Official UK Independent Album Charts on its release.
The Selecter recently supported Blur at Wembley and also performed live at the Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony in Birmingham. The anarchic passion that fuelled Selecter gigs during the original 2-Tone era is still there well and as they continue to perform around the world.

Mercury Music Prize-nominated Lanterns on the Lake hail from Tyneside and have been releasing music on prestigious indie label Bella Union label for over 10 years.
With the recruitment of Radiohead’s Philip Selway on drumming duties, their most recent album Versions Of Us took their distinctive widescreen melancholic sound to new heights. The album’s nine songs are existential meditations examining life’s possibilities, facing the hand we’ve been dealt and the question of whether we can change our individual and collective destinies.
Versions of Us is the band’s most cohesive and concise record yet, with its pervading sense of empowerment encapsulated in Hazel Wilde’s startling vocal performances. Her voice now also soars with previously unheard force on an album austere in its beauty, with its shifting sands of searing guitar, fluttering vintage synths and swarming melodic lines.

Witness this social phenomenon first-hand, in an immersive exhibition and explorable virtual world set at the end of a turbulent decade in the UK. Combining Acid House tracks with interactivity and multi-sensory simulation.
In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats brings to life the stories of the promoters, police officers, and rave-goers, whose rivalries and relationships drove a revolution in music and society.

Clark Tracey, a well-established jazz master, recognised as a most inventive jazz drummer, and, having appeared over many years with the world’s jazz greats, arrives with his new quintet of our best and youngest jazz musicians.
A Five-Time Winner of “Best Drummer” in the British Jazz Awards,
Clark Tracey is a proven group leader, writer and arranger. He has revived the famous jazz suites written by his late father, the great pianist & composer Stan Tracey, “Under Milk Wood” and “A Child’s Christmas in Wales”, bringing these masterpieces successfully to admiring younger audiences.
He creates educational Master Classes across the U.K. and continues to be an in-demand performer across the world.
Joining Clark for this Festival concert are jazz musicians, already making waves on the U.K. jazz scene.
Alex Clarke on alto and tenor saxophones is aged 23 and won the Rising Star in the British Jazz Awards 2 years ago and was runner up in the BBC Young Jazz Musician last year. She has successfully released her debut CD “Only A Year” with Dave Newton, Dave Green and Clark.
Emily Masser is an astonishing vocalist, still 20 years of age and attending the Guildhall School of Music. Her vocalese has already introduced her to hardened jazzers, including Claire Martin and Liane Carroll who have both endorsed her and invited her to sit in with them. Daughter of Dean Masser, her years belie her enormous talent, which began at Chetham’s School of Music.
Graham Harvey on piano is one of our most experienced pianists, studied at Berkley, MD of Incognito, Stacey Kent’s pianist and much sought after as a freelancer playing with major stars including
Dave O’Higgins, Alan Barnes and Mark Nightingale.
James Owston on double bass is 27, a graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and again a runner up in the BBC Young Jazz Musician Finals a few years ago. In our opinion, he is the most technically gifted upright bassist in this country and is now working with a variety of musicians.
Please join us for an inspiring evening of great music, featuring Clark Tracey – a great jazz star and band leader, alongside a combination of today’s and tomorrow’s jazz stars.
“One of the most impressive jazz drummers today” – The Times
Clark Tracey was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the 2019 Birthday Honours for services to music and the promotion of jazz.

Unspoken truths take flight in songs that simmer and seethe with quiet anger, as Joseph gives voice to those robbed of their own. Her debut, Bones You Have Thrown Me and Blood I’ve Spilled, won 2015’s Scottish Album of the Year award. An uncompromising gut-punch that grieved aloud, she mourned passing relationships and, with unimaginable courage, the loss of her son. This possession with truth-telling is her hallmark, digging straight for the heart.

Based on the classic fairytale, this short family opera tells the tale of the Pied Piper and his mystical (and dangerous) powers …
With music by one of Britain’s most famous composers, Sir Charles Hubert Parry
Featuring a cast of professional soloists and community chorus, and accompanied by the West Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra.
The opera will be followed by a short concert of opera classics.
Toronto troubadour Chris A. Cummings (Marker Starling, formerly Mantler) has been playing Melancholy Party Jams since 1999. A solo performer for many years, his preferred weapons were a Wurltizer electric piano and an early pre-programmed drum machine. More recently he has been supported by a Toronto-based band consisting of Dorothea Paas (vocals, guitar) Jay Anderson (drums), Matt McLaren (bass) and Andy Scott (guitar and keyboards).
Our earliest exposures to music can often be the most formative. For Toronto-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Eliza Niemi, that influence came from her Dad who taught her the basics of bass and guitar at home. These childhood experiences of playing music together by ear fostered the sense of playfulness that she’s approached her craft with ever since. They also instilled an ethic in her creative work that prioritizes making music with friends and loved ones. Those honed guitar —and later piano, cello and vocal— skills make Eliza an ideal collaborator: starting in Halifax’s rich music scene with the mid-2010s experimental pop groups New Love Underground and Mauno, and later in her role supporting artists Le Ren, Quaker Parents and Evan J. Cartwright. Through the rhythms of touring and the brilliant spark that’s shared in musical exchange, Eliza found and developed connections across Canada’s DIY music communities. These collaborative moments fuel her creative practice, whether playing solo, in an ensemble or releasing others’ music as the founder of her own label, Vain Mina Records.
Indulge in a gourmet three-course set meal, sip on a complimentary arrival drink, and dance the night away to the sounds of classic hits such as “Haven’t Met You Yet,” “Feeling Good,” “My Way,” “New York, New York,” “Me & Mrs. Jones,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” and many more. Whether you’re a dedicated fan of swing or simply looking for a night of entertainment, “Me & My Shadow” promises an experience that will exceed your expectations.
Join us at St Mary’s Guildhall for an afternoon of music with musical trio ‘Ypotryll’.
Ypotryll, whose name comes from medieval bestiary, a medieval book of beasts, specialise in medieval musical.
Enjoy an hour-long performance in the spectacular Great Hall, which weaves singing, conversation and performance with instruments which you can also see used by our choir of angels in the spectacular roof carvings.
Included in our normal entry price this is an hour-long event combining authentic music with an opportunity to learn more about the instruments of the time.

Plant continues to push boundaries and blow audiences away with Saving Grace. This tour promises to be a rare opportunity to witness the collective’s unique blend of folk, Americana, and blues.
Joining the tour as once again special guest will be singer, songwriter and musician Taylor McCall. The completely self-taught South Carolina native has so far garnered nearly 30 million plays to date with captivating tracks such as “Jericho Rose”, “Quartermaster” and “Waccamaw Drive”.
Jasmine Myra is a saxophonist, composer and band leader, based in

city she has surrounded herself with some of the best young talent in
the north of England. Her original instrumental music has a euphoric
and uplifting sound, influenced by artists as diverse as Bonobo, Olafur
Arnalds and Kenny Wheeler, artists whose music shares an emotive
quality that you can also hear in Myra’s own compositions.

Prepare to hear Aled Jones as you’ve never heard him before. He was the boy treble who captivated the world with his angelic voice. Selling over seven million albums, Aled was the original, classical crossover star. His recording of ‘Walking in the Air’, from the animated film The Snowman, firmly established him as a household name and he has become an integral part of the nation’s festivities.
Equally at home on the classical stage, or starring in musical theatre productions in London West End, his credits include lead roles in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.
As a singer, Aled is in demand globally and has performed in the world’s most iconic venues, from London’s Royal Albert Hall to the Sydney Opera House. A favourite with the Royal Family, he even gave a private performance to King Charles III in Kensington Palace.
He is an award-winning television broadcaster and radio presenter who’s interviewed hundreds of A-List stars over the years. He heads up BBC’s Songs of Praise and his own Saturday and Sunday morning shows on Classic FM.
Now, after 40 years in the business, he’s looking back on a remarkable career with a one-man show, that will feature never-before-heard music, tales from the decades and for the first time, his story told in his own words. It’s time to come Full Circle.
