The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Coventry

To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee the city will be celebrating by holding a series of events between 2 – 5 June.

Lighting of the Jubilee Beacon

Thursday 2 June

A free ticketed event at 9pm in Coventry Cathedral ruins for the lighting of Coventry’s Jubilee Beacon.

City Centre Celebrations

Saturday 4 June

Coventry city centre will host a day of music, street theatre, a make and take marquee, plus a children’s art trail by Katy O.

Bands in the Parks and The Big Lunch

Sunday 5 June

The first Bands in the Park event of 2022 is taking place in the War Memorial Park on Sunday 5 June. 2pm -3.30pm

Assembly Festival Gardens: The Big Screen and Jubilee City Street Party

Thursday 2 June to Sunday 5 June

Everyone is welcome and you don’t need a show ticket to come in and soak up the atmosphere of this very special weekend. We’ll be showing the major Jubilee events on a big screen as part of the celebrations for everyone to gather and enjoy together. It is also the venue for people in the city to join the Jubilee City Street Party.

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Coventry – Iconic Lighting

The iconic Coventry sites of the Whittle Arch, Greyfriars Green and the Christchurch Spire will all be illuminated red, white and blue for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The lighting will be on from sunset – sunrise from 2 June – 5 June.
