Cyanotype photography is a camera-less technique that involves laying objects on paper coated with a solution of iron salts before exposing it to UV light and washing with water to create beautiful white and Prussian blue images.
This traditional photography technique is a simple but fun creative experiment that can give some lovely results.
During this workshop we will explore this process, from the mixing of chemicals and coating a surface to creation of images through UV exposure.
Within this the workshop will be using natural form and waste materials to explore the themes of sustainability, and our connection with nature. You do not need any prior experience of this process and all materials are provided.
