About

The five and a half mile stretch from the Coventry Canal Basin to Hawkesbury Junction used to be a busy trade route with coal boats heading to and from the coalfields in Nuneaton and Bedworth. Today, the canal with its lash green towpath is teeming with wildlife and provides access to variety of heritage from the bygone era.

The Coventry Canal offers much needed green and blue space in the middle of the city. It’s the perfect place for a leisurely stroll or a gentle bike ride. Use it to connect with nature, get a blast of fresh air or escape the hustle and bustle. It’s yours to enjoy.
